What should we wear? What should the baby wear? Will the baby cooperate? What if I haven’t had my hair done? What if I’m exhausted? What happens after the photos are taken?
My goal isn’t simply to photograph your baby. It’s to take as much of the planning, decision-making, and guesswork off your plate as possible so you can actually enjoy this season of your life.
It Starts Before You Ever Step in Front of the Camera

Once you’ve booked, I’ll guide you through everything you need to know leading up to your session. We’ll talk about your vision, your family, and the kind of portraits you are drawn to.
I want to know what matters to you, not just what you want your photos to look like.
Because there is a big difference between simply taking beautiful pictures and creating portraits that feel like your family.
And if you’re wondering when to schedule your newborn session, don’t worry. I’ll help you determine the ideal timing based on your due date and your preferences.
Wardrobe Is Taken Care Of
One of my favorite parts of offering a full-service experience is providing wardrobe.
You don’t need to spend hours searching Pinterest, ordering outfits online, or wondering whether everyone’s clothes coordinate.
My studio wardrobe is carefully curated to photograph beautifully and, more importantly, to keep the focus where it belongs: on your family.
I’ll help you choose what everyone will wear so that the finished portraits feel cohesive and timeless.
And yes, that includes Mom.
You just had a baby. You don’t need another reason to stress about what you’re going to wear.
Hair and Makeup Are Included, Too
I also want you to feel beautiful.
Professional hair and makeup are included with your full service newborn photography session. because I believe Mom deserves to be taken care of, too.
You don’t have to arrive with your hair curled and your makeup done. You don’t have to figure out how to get everyone else ready while trying to get yourself ready.
You simply arrive, settle in, and let us take care of you.
That might sound like a small thing, but when you’re a brand-new mom running on very little sleep, those little things can make a huge difference.
Your Baby Doesn’t Have to “Perform”
This is probably one of the biggest worries parents have before a newborn session:
What if my baby won’t cooperate?
The good news is you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Babies don’t follow schedules just because we have a camera ready.
They need to eat. They need to be held. They may need a diaper change. They may wake up. They may cry.
That’s all normal.
My approach is very baby-led. We work with your baby rather than forcing your baby into a schedule just to get a certain photograph.
My background as a former Labor & Delivery nurse also plays an important role in how I approach newborn sessions. I understand babies, I understand new parents, and I understand how important it is for you to feel confident that your baby is being handled safely and respectfully throughout the experience.
The goal isn’t to rush through a checklist of poses.
The goal is to create beautiful portraits while making sure everyone is comfortable.
The Session Is About More Than Just Baby
Of course, your new baby is going to be the star of the show. But these photographs are also about you.
Your hands holding those tiny fingers.
The way your baby fits against your chest.
The look on Dad’s face when he’s holding his child.
The little details you may not realize you’ll miss someday.

After your session, you won’t simply receive a link to a digital gallery and be left to figure out what to do next.
We’ll schedule an ordering and design appointment where you’ll see your portraits for the first time and we’ll work together to decide how you want to preserve them.
This is one of the most important parts of my full service newborn photography experience.
Because I don’t believe your newborn portraits were meant to live forever on a phone or disappear into a folder on your computer.
I believe they deserve to become something you can actually see and enjoy.
Maybe that’s a beautiful album telling the story of your baby’s first days.
Maybe it’s a statement piece of artwork for your home.
Maybe it’s a collection of smaller portraits for grandparents.
