Newborn Photos in A Grandmillenial Nursery

Newborn Photos in a Grandmillennial Nursery

One of my final sessions of 2024 took place in the most beautiful grandmillenial nursery that still has me swooning over it’s timeless charm and whimsy. In fact, this momma has been rocking the grandmillenial style, well before that term became widespread. Blending traditional furniture with classic patterns and textiles, her little boy has the perfect grandmillenial nursery.

Grandmillenial Nursery Details

The walls were painted in a soft shade of green—a color that felt both fresh and nostalgic. It was the perfect backdrop for the vintage-inspired details that filled the room. From the toile curtains and bedding to the classic story book wall decor and touches of gold throughout, this momma overlooked no detail. Down to even the rug, every element came together for such a stunning grandmillenial nursery and perfect space for welcoming baby boy #2.

Traditions Continue

This is the second newborn I’ve had the honor of photographing for this family. In fact, this momma reused much of her original nursery decor from her first son. Take a peek at big brother’s newborn photos here.

Both brothers also proudly wore the same Feltman Brother’s infant gown, a true family heirloom. Worn by their mother and uncle both as infants, it was so special to photograph another sweet baby in this 30+ year old gown. Fun fact, did you know I am a preferred partner with Feltman Brothers?! You can use my link here to shop all their classic, heirloom styles. It’s by far the most popular brand for my heirloom portrait clients.

Creating Your Own Timeless Nursery

If you’re inspired by the grandmillennial nursery from this session, here are a few tips to create your own timeless space:

  1. Embrace Classic Patterns: Incorporate florals, toile, gingham, or stripes for a nostalgic touch.
  2. Choose High-Quality Furniture: Opt for pieces with heirloom potential, such as wooden cribs or antique dressers.
  3. Incorporate Sentimental Details: Add personal touches like family heirlooms, framed vintage prints, or handmade quilts.
  4. Focus on a Soft Color Palette: Greens, blues, creams, and pastels evoke a serene and classic feel.

Preserving Your Grandmillenial Nursery Through Photography

Your baby’s nursery is so much more than just a room; it’s a reflection of all the love and care that you poured into a space that you’ve probably dreamt about for years. Documenting this space through photography ensures that these all your favorite details are preserved for generations to come.

If you’re expecting or recently welcomed a little one, I’d be honored to help you capture these fleeting moments in a way that is as timeless and beautiful as the nursery you’ve created.
